I feel that the uses that were discussed in class make sense to use for my classrooms. I especially feel that a survey to determine the internet use present at home is very important, as that makes it clear without having to expose to others that the student does not have internet access at home. Additionally, a question about different demographics from as little as allergies to as much as autism, that also helps the teacher know the students backgrounds without sharing with the entire class. My grade level will be elementary school, so also avoiding unnecessary questions that could cause  embarrassment to students.

In my long distance learning, we used Teams with Microsoft for our communications with our teachers. I thought Teams at the time was very ineffective as it felt like there were not many ways to access class material and turn in assignments effectively. It has been interesting to see Teams develop since the pandemic, however, as I think that it upgraded its software since then and is much more accessible for a classroom environment. I feel like Canvas is the easiest to use distance learning software I have used, however, as it is very easy to get announcements, turn in assignments and contact professors.      OER, or open-educational resources, are books that are readily available for educators, students or self-learners and are free to use.       I used design principles such as color blocking and a consistent theme, including similar fonts and text size. I really enjoyed learning how to implement addresses and calendars into websites on weebly as that is something I have never done before. I think that having a classroom website would be very helpful for the classroom community as a teacher. I also think that learning how to make a website is important for any future endeavors such as future career changes.      I have always liked the idea of using QR codes as a check in for students so they can let me know of anything that may be going on that they need to talk about with me. I also think that an interactive scavenger hunt with different writing passages at each QR station could be a fun way to distribute information. The teacher would hang up QR codes that are printed out across the room with different passages to read. The group of students who answer the questions the fastest would get a...

In the classroom pages for St Francis de Sales Catholic Academy, they list homework assignments for the week. They also give announcements and reminders about holidays, or in this case, going to mass and mass times. They list spelling words for the week as well, and also an outline of activities for the week. This school also has specials, such as PE, art, or music, and they say what day each special is so parents can prepare their students.       https://stfrancisacademybh.org/class-pages     I will try to implement classroom pages in to my school if I can. I think these are almost more effective than a newsletter because teachers can update them weekly, and then parents will know the lesson plans for the week beforehand. It is also helpful for homework, because then parents know when their kids do and do not have work to do at home. Additionally, parents will know if they need to bring in different things, either for a special class o...
