    Throughout my high school experience, I used Word to work on essays and assignments in class. Additionally, because Florida State provides Microsoft access to us for free, I also use that system here. I do not have much experience with the Google softwares like Google Slides and Google Doc, but I feel that I would prefer the Microsoft functions because they are more universally used and I understand their functions. I should try another processing software, however, to see if I like it better than the Microsoft software. 

    My main goal as an educator has always been to facilitate kindness in my classroom, and so the citizen. standard really stuck out to me. Teachers have a real impact on a child, and hopefully that impact can help them be better neighbors, friends and citizens. I never thought about how important it is to talk about a student's digital identity and teaching them to be kind and respectful online as well as in the classroom. Teaching ettiequte on the computer, as well as how to be safe while using technology, is an important new aspect of education that I am glad was brought to my attention. 

    I feel that a digital native is someone that grew up whenever technology was a prominent part of their entire childhood, and the children in question do not remember a time when there was no technology. I feel that when I, a digital native, see my educators struggle with technology, and often stick to textbooks and readings because that is what they are comfortable with. I appreciated when my educator was young, because they often used more interactive curriculum through technology like YouTube videos, Kahoot group quizzes and Quizlet for studying. I hope to be an educator that tries to stay current with the children so that I can provide them with an education more fit to their needs. I know education will just keep developing like it has for my fellow students, but that means that educators need to put in the work to keep up with that advancement.
