I have really enjoyed exploring different Pinterest boards with education content. There has been so many different lesson plans and science experiments that I found really engaging. I also really enjoyed the room decoration tips, and inspiration for a cozy classroom. I also enjoyed seeing content from current teachers on Instagram and seeing their advice. I think that both apps will be beneficial to me as a future educator for tips with dealing with student issues or dress code advice on Instagram to lesson plans and activities on Pinterest.

I grew up in a digitally rich environment, or at least I remember it that way. We had a computer lab that we went to for exams and quizzes in elementary school, and then in middle and high school we had laptop computers that teachers could rent for their students. Although we did not use computers all the time due to the fact that teachers had to rent them, I believe I had enough knowledge about technology in the classroom to transition to college where I pretty much only use my computer. The transition was still scary for me, however, and I hope that students have even more access to computers to make the switch more manageable for them.

I actually believe that Blogger could be a really effective tool to use for a collaborative lesson on writing and social annotation. I believe that Blogger could be used to clearly explain how a student feels about a work or idea that you may be discussing in class, like a book or a unit in science, and answer questions based on your opinions. That then gives your classmates the ability to leave feedback in the comments on your blogs, and provide what they did and did not like about your points in a constructive way. In this way, it can act as a reading log with constructive ideas and collaborative aspects.
